MB100B

MB100B Pneumatic Shockwave Therapy Machine – 8 Bar ESWT Acoustic Wave Device

The MB100B is a clinic-grade radial shockwave (ESWT) console built around pneumatic acoustic wave technology. It pairs a 3G shockwave handpiece with a separate vibration massage handle, so practitioners can cover pressure-wave sessions and deep muscle relaxation in one system. Energy is adjustable from 1.0 to 8.0 bar with frequency up to 21 Hz, controlled from a touch-screen tablet with anatomy-based preset protocols.

This is a professional device intended for trained operators in physiotherapy, sports recovery and aesthetic settings. Choose your plug option above: 110V US or 220V EU / UK / AU.

Two Handpieces, One Console

• 3G shockwave handle — delivers radial pressure waves generated by the built-in pneumatic compressor; six interchangeable tips let you switch between small, precise zones and larger surface areas
• Vibration massage handle — a separate percussive massage tool with two replaceable heads, used to warm up and relax tight muscles around the treatment area

How Radial Shockwave Works

Inside the 3G shockwave handpiece, the built-in compressor accelerates a small metal projectile along the barrel. When the projectile strikes the transmitter tip, its kinetic energy is converted into an acoustic pressure wave that passes through the skin into the soft tissue below.

The energy radiates outward from the contact point rather than converging on a single deep spot — this is why it is called radial shockwave. Pressure is highest at the skin surface and gradually dissipates with depth, reaching roughly 40–60 mm depending on the tip size and energy setting. The wave applies a brief mechanical load to the tissue (along with micro-cavitation effects), while the separate vibration massage handle adds surface percussion to relax tight muscles before or after the session.

Practitioners rely on the mechanical stimulation for its commonly described effects: improved local blood circulation, support for the tissue's natural repair response in tendons and soft tissue, temporary easing of muscular discomfort, and relaxation of tense or fibrous areas. This is also why treatments are delivered as a short course with days between sessions — the tissue continues to respond between visits.

Which Tip for Which Zone

The six stainless steel transmitter tips cover everything from pinpoint trigger-point work to broad muscle coverage. A common workflow is to scan an area first with a larger tip at low energy to locate the sensitive spot, then switch to a smaller tip to deliver focused energy:

• 6 mm — pinpoint work: acupuncture-style points, trigger points, fingers, wrists and small tendon insertions
• 9 mm — small, precise targets: Achilles tendon, plantar fascia, tennis-elbow epicondyle and other narrow tendon zones
• 15 mm flat — the daily workhorse: shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and most common tendon protocols
• 15 mm convex — curved body surfaces such as the shoulder cap, knee and ankle, where a flat tip tends to slip
• 20 mm — muscle and connective tissue: calves, thighs, upper back and general myofascial release
• 25 mm — broad coverage: glutes, lower back, large muscle groups and cellulite-appearance contouring sessions

Why 8 Bar Is the Right Rating

You will see listings claiming 9, 10 or even 12 bar. In real practice, published radial shockwave protocols run between roughly 1.5 and 4 bar: cellulite and contouring sessions use 1.5–2.5 bar, muscle relaxation 2–3 bar, and trigger-point work rarely exceeds 3.5 bar. The reference radial systems used in clinical research and physiotherapy clinics are rated at just 4–5 bar maximum.

Clinical application guidance is explicit on this point: below about 1.4 bar the energy is too low to be effective, while pressures above 4 bar do not improve results — they only make the session more painful and increase the risk of bruising or nerve irritation. Higher surface pressure also does not mean deeper treatment: radial waves spread out from the skin surface and dissipate with depth, so extra pressure cannot reach deeper tissue.

So why rate the MB100B at 8 bar? Headroom. Real protocols sit at 1.5–4 bar, which means this machine works in the lower half of its range — the compressor runs comfortably, output stays stable through long sessions and years of daily use, and the hardware is never pushed to its limit. When comparing machines advertised at 10–12 bar, ask whether that figure is measured under load at the transmitter tip, and what pressure the built-in preset protocols actually use.

Common Applications

• Shoulder, back, hip and knee discomfort support in physiotherapy protocols
• Plantar fasciitis and heel-spur sessions performed by trained practitioners
• Tennis elbow, jumper's knee and other overuse-condition recovery support
• Sports warm-up, recovery and muscle-relaxation sessions
• Cellulite-appearance and body-contouring protocols in aesthetic studios
• Men's-health programs — radial acoustic wave sessions for ED (erectile dysfunction) support, as offered by men's-health and regenerative clinics

Protocols should always be set and performed by a qualified practitioner according to the client's condition and local regulations.

Reference Session Parameters

The figures below are compiled from published clinical reference protocols for general guidance only — they are not treatment instructions. Always set parameters according to the client's condition and tolerance, start each session at low energy, and follow local regulations:

• Plantar fascia / heel zone — approx. 1.5–3.0 bar, 8–12 Hz, ~2,000 impulses; 3–5 sessions at weekly intervals
• Tennis elbow / elbow tendons — approx. 1.8–3.5 bar, 8–12 Hz, 1,500–2,500 impulses; 3–5 sessions, weekly
• Achilles / patellar tendon zones — approx. 2.0–4.0 bar, 6–10 Hz, 2,000–3,000 impulses; 3–6 sessions, 1–2 weeks apart
• Shoulder / rotator-cuff zone — approx. 2.0–4.0 bar, 10–15 Hz, 2,000–3,000 impulses; 4–6 sessions, weekly
• Trigger points / muscle relaxation — approx. 1.5–3.5 bar, 8–16 Hz, ~500–1,000 impulses per point; 3–5 sessions every 5–7 days
• Cellulite-appearance / contouring — approx. 1.5–3.0 bar, 10–20 Hz, 2,000–4,000 impulses per zone; 6–12 sessions, 1–2 per week, with maintenance sessions every 3–6 months

• Start low: begin around 1–2 bar for the first ~200 shocks, then ramp up gradually to the client's tolerance level
• Sessions are typically spaced 7–14 days apart — the tissue's healing response continues between sessions, and improvements usually develop over the weeks following a course
• Keep the handpiece moving continuously; do not hold it on one spot at high energy

Why Choose the MB100B?

Radial pressure wave machines are the workhorses of busy clinics: they cover the high-frequency, surface-to-mid-depth sessions that make up most daily bookings, and the 8 bar output reaches the 40–60 mm depth range needed for common musculoskeletal protocols. The dual-handle design means one console replaces both a shockwave unit and a separate massage tool, and the on-handle controls plus touch-screen presets keep sessions fast for operators. The tablet interface and preset anatomy maps also make onboarding new staff straightforward.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the MB100B shockwave therapy machine used for?

It is a professional ESWT (extracorporeal shockwave therapy) console used in clinics and studios. Practitioners use it in protocols for common musculoskeletal complaints such as shoulder, knee and heel discomfort, tennis elbow and sports recovery, as well as cellulite-appearance and body-contouring sessions. It also includes a vibration massage handle for muscle relaxation.

Can this machine be used in men's-health (ED support) programs?

Radial acoustic wave sessions are commonly offered by men's-health and regenerative clinics as part of their men's wellness programs, and many buyers source this type of console for that service line. Practitioners typically deliver it as a course of around 6 sessions, spaced 1–2 times per week, with parameters set according to the client and local regulations. The equipment itself is the same radial pneumatic platform used for physiotherapy and body-contouring protocols.

Is this the same type of device as an acoustic wave or radial shockwave machine?

Yes — those are different names for the same category. Buyers and suppliers call it a shockwave therapy machine, shock wave machine, ESWT machine, acoustic wave therapy device, radial shockwave device, pneumatic shockwave machine or pressure wave therapy device. The MB100B uses a built-in compressor to generate pneumatic radial pressure waves.

What is the difference between radial and focused shockwave?

Radial (pneumatic) shockwave spreads energy from a wider contact area and is the standard choice for high-frequency musculoskeletal and cellulite protocols. Focused shockwave concentrates energy at a single deep point and requires different generator technology. The MB100B is a radial pneumatic machine with a maximum output of 8 bar and a 40–60 mm penetration range.

What is included with the machine?

Each unit ships with the console and built-in touch-screen tablet, the 3G shockwave handpiece, six transmitter tips (6 mm to 25 mm), the vibration massage handle with two replaceable heads, and the power cable for your chosen plug type. Coupling gel is not included in the machine shipment — see the gel question below. Contact us before ordering if you need a full packing list for customs or a quote including spare tips.

Do I need coupling gel, and is it included?

Yes — shockwave sessions require coupling gel between the transmitter tip and the skin, the same ultrasound-style gel used in clinics. Gel is a semi-liquid product subject to international shipping restrictions, so the machine ships without gel and gel is never packed in the same carton as the machine. You can source standard coupling gel locally in your market, or order it separately from our store; separate gel orders are shipped on their own.

Which voltage or plug option should I choose?

Select the variant matching your local supply: 110V with US plug, or 220V with EU, UK or AU plug. The machine weighs 33 kg and ships in a 52.5 × 49 × 55 cm carton; we recommend arranging freight before checkout.

Why is this machine rated at 8 bar when others claim 10 or 12 bar?

Because pressure ratings above the clinical working range are marketing numbers, not treatment settings. Published radial shockwave protocols use about 1.5–4 bar, and the reference clinical systems rate at 4–5 bar maximum; above 4 bar, studies and application guidance show no better results, only more discomfort and higher risk of bruising. The MB100B's 8 bar rating leaves roughly double headroom over the highest real protocol, so the compressor runs comfortably and output stays stable. When comparing a 10–12 bar machine, ask whether the number is measured under load at the tip and what pressure its preset protocols actually use.

How are sessions controlled?

Energy (1.0–8.0 bar), frequency (1–21 Hz) and shock count (100–5000) are set on the touch-screen tablet, which shows anatomy maps with preset protocols for common body zones. Energy and frequency can also be adjusted directly on the smart shockwave handpiece during the session.

Which transmitter tip should be used on which body part?

Small tips concentrate energy, large tips spread it. The 6 mm tip is for acupuncture-style points, trigger points and fingers; the 9 mm tip for narrow tendon zones such as the Achilles, plantar fascia and tennis elbow; the 15 mm flat tip is the general workhorse for shoulder, elbow, hip and knee; the 15 mm convex tip holds better on curved surfaces; the 20 mm and 25 mm tips cover large muscle groups such as the back, glutes and thighs, plus cellulite-appearance contouring work. See the “Which Tip for Which Zone” section in the description for the full guide.

Do I need special training to operate it?

The presets and touch-screen interface make operation straightforward, but shockwave devices are professional equipment. Protocols, contraindications and pressure settings should be determined by a qualified practitioner, and local regulations governing the use of ESWT devices apply. Check with your national or regional health authority before offering treatments commercially.

Is there a version without the vibration massage handle?

Yes — if you only need the shockwave handpiece, the MB100 single-handle model uses the same 8 bar pneumatic radial platform at a lower price point, without the vibration massage handle.

Where can I buy replacement tips for the MB100B 3G shockwave handpiece?

You can buy compatible 3G shockwave replacement tips and plastic accessories here. Select the tip size, flat or convex profile, or plastic component you need from the accessory page. This link is for the 3G shockwave handpiece components, not the separate vibration massage handle heads. The machine and complete handpiece are not included in the accessory listing.
